Students that attend before care at Bridgeway Elementary spent time working on an art project for residents at Life Care Center of Bridgeton.
“The students are making tray liners that will be used during meals so the residents have something pleasant to see when they eat,” paraprofessional and before care teacher Josie Chapman said.
The project was a good way for the students to help spread happiness.
“We always like to do little projects but we also always like to try and serve the community somehow,” she said.
Patriots Day (Sept. 11) and Grandparents Day (Sept. 12) are both this weekend.
“All of the tray liners will be laminated and then delivered,” Chapman said. “Hopefully it’s a way to help make someone smile.”
