Pattonville hosted an online presentation with infectious disease expert Dr. Jason Newland on May 18. During the event, Newland provided an update on COVID-19 and the results of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) program that included the Pattonville school community in studying COVID-19 transmission and mitigation strategies in schools.
As mentioned in the presentation, Pattonville is partnering with the CDC, St. Louis University and Washington University to offer free COVID-19 testing for the Pattonville community. Tests are saliva-based and do not require nasal swabbing. Testing will be conducted from the patient's car and is available Sundays through Fridays. Results are typically available in 24 to 48 hours.
