While many sports fans are paying attention to basketball teams, Kim Dickinson’s second graders at Drummond Elementary have been focused on books as part of March Book Madness.
March Book Madness is a March Madness-style reading tournament. Participants determine the best book of 16 new titles chosen from various Best of 2020 lists. Readers vote for their favorite books and the titles advance through the bracket over the course of two months.
Pattonville will offer a three-week summer school program for children currently in grades kindergarten through eighth grade (K-8) attending a Pattonville school. Families are welcome to sign up for one, two or three weeks of sessions. In addition, Pattonville High School students will continue to be able to take credit advancement or credit recovery courses this summer. Summer activity and athletic camps are also available.
Fourth grader Marcus Young was running through the hallways at Drummond Elementary today, but he earned the chance to break the rules by following the rules.
Every month, students with 95% or higher attendance are invited to participate in a HERO event. HERO, standing for Here Everyday Ready On-Time, encourages students to be at school by providing an incentive.
